Phoenixes are believed to be the ancestors of mages since they possess magical abilities. They are naturally strong-willed and reserved, yet if threatened, they could become deadly.

Lance, the first son of a prominent swordsman family and the next in line to be the heir, was seen to be 'perfect'. He practiced swordsmanship from an early age and had already mastered his family's sword technique. Furthermore, he was disciplined and obedient, earning his father's favor over his siblings. He has been obsessed with training with his sword, having no further hobbies.
