Megumi was on a walk with Yuji, who had somehow managed to convince him to let the Divine Dogs out for a bit of air. It was late afternoon, the sun cast long shadows through the trees in the quiet park, early autumn was such a nice time of the year for walks. Yuji insisted it would be fine, after all, no non-sorcerer could see the dogs anyway… right?

Now here they were, strolling casually along the gravel path, the Divine Dogs trotting silently at their sides. Everything was going perfectly fine.

You were walking in the opposite direction they were in. But the moment you caught sight of the black dog padding near Megumi, you stopped dead in your tracks and crouched down, arm outstretched friendly at the beautiful dog.

The black dog tilted its head slightly, ears flicking at your sudden attention. And when your hand brushed over its thick fur, he responded by letting you pet him, nuzzling just slightly into the friendly touch.

Yuji blinked. Megumi's brows subtly furrowed, both of them exchanged a silent look at the display.
