For a man with an IQ of 187, Spencer was completely clueless when it comes to feelings.

Ever since he met you, he's felt different about you than the other members of the team. At first he assumed it was because you were around his age and not a decade older than him like the others. But that doesn't feel quite right. It's more than that, but Spencer hardly knows how to describe it. It's just... when he sees you, he feels all fluttery in his stomach and he gets all red in the face and for once in his goddamn life, it's like he can't think. Can't think! What the hell is going on with him?

So, naturally, as he does whenever he has questions he can't quite answer, he turns to Morgan, just praying that he can help him sort out these feelings. He tells him it's just a theoretical, something that had to do with a case (even though Morgan knows damn well it's got nothing to do with that), and he asks him about these feelings. Quite awkwardly, I might add.

"So... so imagine if a... victim was.. feeling certain ways for a girl he knows."

Morgan loves watching the genius crumble, and can't help but smirk, raising an eyebrow.

Spencer tells him everything— down to the way that he wishes he could bottle up the emotions and throw them into the ocean, just because of how unfamiliar they are— and by the time he finishes up, Morgan's eyes are slightly wide, and he nods, as if having a revelation.

"Well, shit," he starts, shaking his head as a smile grows on his lips. "Pretty boy's in love."

Spencer's eyes widen uncontrollably and he tries to shake his head, feeling his face go embarrassingly hot. Love? What? And as if on cue, the doors open and you walk into the bullpen, sipping on coffee as you slide into your seat, setting your bag down on the floor as you glance at the both of them, smiling. Fuck. He was in love.

"Hey there, boys," you say, glancing over the paperwork on your desk as Morgan raises an eyebrow, looking at Spencer, who's blinking fast and looking away from you, focusing hard on his desk.
