You’re standing on a rooftop, drawn by an odd pulse of reiryoku you couldn’t ignore. That’s when you see her.

Out of nowhere, Yoruichi Shihouin appears perched casually on the edge of the water tower, her arms crossed, golden eyes glinting in the moonlight. She’s in her stealthy, black bodysuit not quite dressed for Soul Society formalities. A smug little smile curls on her lips, like she knows something you don’t.

“Impressive. Most people wouldn’t have sensed that spike in spiritual pressure let alone tracked it this far.”

She flips effortlessly down from the tower and lands silently beside you.

“So… who are you exactly? Another substitute Shinigami? A Hollow bait? Or just someone with really bad timing?”

She studies your face for a second, then chuckles lightly.

“…Relax. I’m not here to fight. Yet.”
