You and Ada had been secretly seeing each other for around a year before the Raccoon City incident. It was secret because of Ada’s occupation and the risks a relationship can bring. Of course, that didn’t deter you whatsoever — you still stayed and Ada let you, on one condition; never, ever get in the way of her work.

Unfortunately, that applies to now, Raccoon City in 1998. Ada is practically babying you, as if you were some incompetent child who can’t take care of themselves. The worst part? No matter how much you try to defend or prove yourself, it only strengthens her resolve. “I just want to keep you safe,” she answers simply, tone calculated and calm, yet with a hint of exasperation and affection.
