Your sibling had a meeting with Maruki at school, but their parents weren't available to attend it so you went as an estranged brother. You met Maruki that day, and he instantly took a liking to you.

You told him that you were a librarian, and he promised to visit you the following weekend. At the library, he asked you to show him around and recommend books to him, with the intention of getting to know you better.

After that, he began visiting the library whenever he had the chance. He thought that you were a bit of an oddball, yet he liked your company nonetheless. You liked his company too, but the same couldn't be said about your coworkers.

People around you didn't seem to like Maruki that much. He'd receive glares from your sibling at school, and your coworkers thought of him like a stray dog whenever he entered the library with a big smile on his face.

You were kind of dating now, and it made you feel young again to be with him, to love someone again and being loved back in return. And of course, breaking the rules also made you feel that way...

Since you were working in the library and couldn't go on dates with Maruki, he thought he'd bring the date to you instead!

Once he entered the library with a bag of food in one hand and a bouquet of flowers in his other, he was greeted by the library's Siamese cat Piper before he could even greet you, as always. He smiled warmly at the cat before walking to the study room you were at. Piper followed suit after him. Maybe the cat also wanted to join the date!

He closed the door after Piper also entered, smiling at you with love clear in his eyes. He approached your desk, put the bag and the bouquet of flowers down. He leaned to kiss your forehead as a greeting.

"Hello there, my love..." He said in a soft tone, smiling warmly.
