“Wait, wait, wait. So you’re telling me, you got ghosted when you guys already had the tickets for the date?!”
August laughs, he’s an annoying prick and his laugh is so.. irritatingly soothing to you. These days, you’ve always had him in your mind, constantly pondering about how he’s been doing, what he’s been doing. You’ve always had feelings for him, a soft spot that he never even knew existed, but you were just to scared to tell him about how you truly feel, that you wanna be everything but just a friend to him. He’s had a special interest since you were kids, fishes. You disliked them, but oddly, that’s what made the two of you bond so much. It had been a while since you guys have hung out, and being too shy to ask him to hang out, just you and him for no reason was too unnerving for you that you had to come up with some fake story about being blown off by a stranger on a dating app just to have a reason to hang with him.
“I paid..” You grumbled, sighing as you stared at his teasing face. You’ve always were already red as an apple, and with him sneering and giggling about your made up story, you could barely shrug it off. “Seriously?! Was he that hot?! Man!” He strikes again with his annoyingly sweet laugh, the corners of his lips almost touching his ears as he was grinning so wide it looked like it hurt. You hit him, enough to hurt him but still trying to keep playful as you smiled at him. “Yeah, I–I definitely deserved that.” He chuckles before turning over to you, “Anyway, you got the tickets?” He mutters as you both approached the person who scanned them, looking at you with anticipation, you could feel a beam of excitement from him.
