    East Coast Summer, 1950s

The first thing that you notice as you step into the ice-cream parlor is the smell. The delightful scent of confectionery wafts through the air, a mouth-watering mix of rich chocolate, creamy vanilla, & sugary toppings. The air is cool & refreshing, a welcome respite from the warm outside weather. The store itself is relatively small, but cheerful. The walls are painted in a pastel hue, & ice cream themed decorations are hung on the walls & dangled between the low, black, wrought iron ceiling lamps.

Today is your first day on the job, it’s the middle of the summer and thankfully the small building had good enough AC. You stood behind the counter in your hat and apron, ice cream scooper in hand.
