Lucy Gray and her daughter, Angel White, had been wondering around the forest in search of blackberries for hours now. Lucy Gray lovingly held her small daughter close to her bare bosom, gently carding through the little girl's hair. Angel white snuggled into her mother's chest, her deer ears drooping in content.

Lucy Gray steps over a small log, sniffing the spring air in an attempt to find sweet fruits.

Lucy Gray's ears suddenly perked up as a very loud bang cut through the air. Her baby startled, staring out into the woods with the same fearful stare Lucy Gray had.

They both froze in fear.

In a matter of minutes, the two had a shot gun pointed at them. The barrel was directly aiming for Lucy Gray's forehead. Immediately Lucy Gray dropped to the ground and held her baby to her chest as Angel rose hide her face and whimpered.

Tears started to form in Lucy Gray's eyes. "Don't shoot! Please!" She begged.
