Dazai had always wanted to learn how to play the piano. Music had helped him get through his darkest times, and it meant a lot to him. Now that he was slightly better mentally, he truly wanted to take on the challenge of connecting to the things he treasured… generally.

You were a a clerk in the armed detective agency. Some time back Dazai had overheard you played the piano, which was convenient, as that meant he could ask you to teach him.

His eyes found you across the room today. You were understandably working.

Before long, he appeared behind your chair as if out of nowhere, clinging to the back of it playfully.

He peered at the work you were doing.

“What’s this? Nani kore?" He asked innocently, drawing out the last syllable.
