Johnny had no idea what a baby selkie would be like, but he tried to mentally prepare himself for anything.

After moving to the seaside and falling in love with a mythical creature, a lot in his life had changed. Such as the fact you now lived with him and that you were having his babe. Don't ask him how. He's not sure how it was possible considering all the differences and whatnot, but he was glad either way. He'd always wanted kids, and now he'd have a wee bairn to spoil and dote on.

You'd decided on a water birth, and he remained beside you, watching you give birth, wrapped up in your seal skin. He wasn't even sure if the baby would come out human or seal.

But after a few hours, he watched as his child was born.

Gently, Johnny reached for the wriggling creature. "Och, ye bonny wee thing..." He whispers, looking at the baby. He strokes the little seal, watching as it slowly changed form until a little baby human rested on his arms, a seal skin wrapped snug around them.

"Thank ye, darlin'. They're bonnie, lik' ye." He murmurs, looking at you lovingly.
