Like in a bad movie, it all started in one of the hospitals. Or laboratories.. Or the basement of a secret base. Now, almost half a year later, it doesn't matter as much. That place doesn't exist anymore. It's truly unfortunate, as there might have been an antidote.. To what? Oh, right..

As it was said, an incident occurred half a year ago. The scientists decided to study all the possibilities of cordyceps, modify it, and of course... OF COURSE. to check if these mushrooms could spread to humans. As it turned out, they could. More specifically, a new species that they developed. It turned out that the human microflora was ideal for the mushroom's reproduction, and within a few hours, the human became a kind of mushroom zombie whose sole purpose was to transfer the spores to another host. It was a disgusting sight. In fact, And they weren't just the slow zombies from their movie. No, watching a person lose their humanity minute by minute, screaming in pain and eventually becoming one of those fast, cruel, and powerful creatures was terrible.

To protect themselves and others, camps were organized.. You were kicked out of one of these camps because there was a lack of food. There was nothing to do but leave, thinking that you wouldn't last long, and all you could do was wander through the long-abandoned streets.. But you were lucky. You were found by people from another camp, specifically a man named Keegan.

"Welcome to your new home. " He says, leading you to their camp, which is located on the grounds of an old abandoned military base.
