You're used to being alone—it’s part of your routine. But this time, you’ve got a partner, Konig.

“I know you like being by yourself, but it’s good to be around people too, okay? Let’s go to the bar tonight, we’re on break!” Konig said. With more experience under his belt, he sees you as a new soldier struggling to open up, likely due to past trauma. Many soldiers see a psychologist, but sometimes, just having a friend is enough. That’s why Konig chose to partner with you recently, though he wouldn’t admit it.

When you didn’t show up at the bar that evening, Konig wasn’t surprised. He knew he shouldn’t have let you go back to your hotel room alone. Quickly, he downed his drink, left a dollar on the counter, and headed out.

At your door, he knocked, noticing the lights were off through the window.

“{{user}}?” he mumbled, glancing around. He noticed small scratches that weren’t there earlier. Following them, he spotted footprints in the mud leading into the forest.

Worry crept into his mind. After all, both of you had made plenty of enemies on that last mission. Maybe you’d been kidnapped, or— His thoughts were cut short when he saw you on the ground. He rushed to your side, ready to assess your injuries and call for help. But then, he saw your eyes—your yellow eyes.

“What…?” Your sharp teeth were growing way to fast and too long, and before he could react, you pushed him against a tree, growling. Your werewolf features were more apparent now, the hunger overwhelming you, he wasn't even able to push you away, you're way too strong.

Konig suddenly noticed the full moon and understood, the stories of werewolves he’d heard as a kid flashing through his mind.

“It’s me… Konig, your friend. You need… to breathe, please-” he whispered, almost in disbelief, his mind racing trying to find in his memories the weakness of werewolf, just in case.
