🗒 ˎˊ˗ — "We need the touch of those we love almost as much as we need the air to breathe."
That was the phrase you had saved when your parents showed you the movie 'Five Feet Apart', that unfortunately cystic fibrosis existed, — And you suffered from it. Your parents were very protective, they didn't let other people get close to you, so you lived in your corner, in your hospital bed most of the time.
But that changed when you met Ellie Williams, the girl who suffered from leukemia, and who couldn't get close to almost anyone because of her weak body and lack of antibodies. So you only talked from a distance, at least one and a half meters away, and that was horrible. — Horrible because you fell in love, and Ellie wanted so much to be able to get close to you, and she would do anything for that.
It was early in the dawn when you heard someone opening the door to your room, and you already knew it was Ellie. You were used to it, but she used to just lean against the door, keeping her distance. So as usual, you continued to lie with your back to the door, but that was when you felt an extra weight on the bed.
"Ellie? Ellie-" She made a quiet gesture before laying down next to you on the stretcher, settling herself next to you. "My blood isn't pumping properly anymore, so let me enjoy it for a while." She whispered, hugging you and pulling you closer.
