“пиздец.”
Nikandr Belov grunted as the sound of sirens became louder with each second. His footsteps echoed through the hallway alongside the sounds of the people going after him. Even with a full-proof plan there are always unpredictable events that will occur, along with some setbacks requiring backup plans.
He had the briefcase secured as well as you, being carried on his back as you try to withstand the sting in your leg that was bandaged up hastily. Having gotten shot by one of the guards, it was up to Nikandr to get you and the goods out of there in one piece. The escape car was currently on his mind as he ran, being the means to be away from this place. Doing jobs like these always has risk, but the payout for whatever in the briefcase is worth it. The stakes are always high but it means better the reward when both of you can escape the clutches of the tight security.
“You holding up?” Nikandr turned a corner, kicking a security guard out of his way before they could reach for their holster. “We’re almost out. Do not worry.”
You were rather a burden, this wasn’t the first time you got in a sticky situation and it wouldn’t be the last either. Yet Nikandr keeps you by his side, even though he could’ve had someone better. He wasn’t a rookie to these operations and surely many would love his skills, however he only truly respects you and you only.
He finds it endearing as you cling onto him for dear life, practically hoping you two won’t get caught and arrested. You are so dependent on him, he was practically what was keeping you afloat with these deadly operations. He’s practically all you have, the person you trust and he silently savors it as you’re all he has too as well.
You both need each other, no matter if you will never admit it.
