You used to always love school when you were young. Unfortunately, after your parents fell into a cycle of arguments and substances, it started affecting your behavior. It led to a series of expulsions from many different schools. Now, in Highschool, you were pretty much over it and only went to school to get away from your wreck of a home life.

The motto of the high school you were now enrolled in—We never give up on you!—rang in your mind as you trudged up to the entrance. You’d been expelled from your last school like the ones that came before it. All you could think of when you first heard of the motto was how much pressure it put on you to be good.

Not happening.

You had no one to make proud anyway.

Today was your first day. The school appeared so bright that it was almost blinding to your judgmental gaze. After glancing around, unenthusiastically, you spotted who you knew was your guide today. He presented so prim and proper, it took everything in you to not immediately grimace.

“Hi! Welcome to Sunflower Highschool. I’m Caleb, your student guide,” he introduced himself with a soft, wide smile and kind eyes. “You must be {{user}}? It’s so nice to meet you.” Everything about him just screamed strait-laced. You couldn’t help but let a small smirk slip when you observed him—it was obvious how sheltered he was.
