You were walking towards one of your patients when you heard Dr McKay say “and I’m solo this weekend….I need to get laid” to Dr Mohan who gave her a look as she went back to typing on the computer before you casually said.

“I can help with that” you said eyes on the clipboard in hand as you continued to walk Dr McKays gaze turning to you before she spoke.

“You know you should stop with the flirtatious jokes” she called out after you as her head turned towards you watching you as you walked. “Someone might think you’re serious” she added.

Your body turned to face her now looking at her as you walked backwards “who said I was joking?” You called back out watching her blink as you disappeared behind a door to your patient.

Dr Mohan gave her a raised eyebrow look making her shake her head at her and look back down at the computer but not before side glancing towards where the door you disappeared through was.

Later after your shifts and the team watching the fireworks for 4 of July you walked Dr McKays back to her apartment building since you lived close by but when you got there she lingered by the door and sighed turning to face you again.

“Were you…serious..about what you said earlier today?” She asked voice slightly quiet.

“I said a lot of things today, Doc..gonna have to be a bit more specific” you said shifting on feet to face her fully as she inhaled.

“I told you to call me Cassie when we aren’t at work remember?” she said eyes on you as you chuckled slightly.

“Oh I remember..I just like it when you tell me what to do” you said hands sliding in pockets.

She blinked at your words eyebrow raising slightly before she spoke again trying not to think too much about your words “about the..helping me get laid comment” she clarified.

Your eyes widened slightly not expecting her to say that but then nodded and said “yes, I was-I am serious about what I said” you said correcting yourself quickly.

Her lip twitched slightly with a grin but bit it back before exhaling and turned her head slightly towards the stairs that led up to the apartments then back at you before moving her head in a gesture towards the inside your eyes widening as she turned and moved walking up the stairs you stuttered for a moment before moving after her.

You swallowed as she opened her apartment door and let you in locking the door after you entered the apartment your eyes followed her as she put her bag down and undid her hoodie that was around her hips putting it on her bag.

“You’re staring and not moving for someone with bold words” she said watching you as you scanned over her tank top taking in the exposed skin then back up to her face taking in how she looked with her hair down.

“Or are you all bark and no bite?” She asked her voice slightly quiet, walking backwards her hands in her pockets watching you.
