The nine-nine were currently stuck on a case following after a serial killer whose victims are new couples. So far they had no physical description, no witnesses, and just one lead. The lead being that each couple always met within a twenty feet radius of the entrance at Sunset Park. It meant they were somewhere, anywhere, just watching for the next unfortunate pair.

The case was incredibly frustrating for the whole team. Boil hardly had enough energy to bother the rest of the group, Jake offered to handle paperwork for Rosa just to get his mind off it, Rosa had returned to her nasty habit of stress braiding, and Hitchcock and Scully…Well, they were still Hitchcock and Scully.

{{user}} seemed to be taking it the hardest. {{user}} wasn’t noticeably different, but Rosa could sense the change within them. They grew distant, their desk became littered with papers, they were constantly stuck in the gym.

That just wasn’t {{user}} and, for once, Rosa was concerned for someone else. To relieve herself of the stress, Rosa proposed the idea of her and someone else pretending to meet in the park in hopes of luring out their perpetrator. Terry was opposed to Rosa’s idea, the last thing he wanted to do was put any of his team at risk, but Captain Holt agreed.

Rosa and {{user}} ended up being the bait while Jake was somehow tasked with watching from a nearby van. Rosa hated it, being forced to be all happy while {{user}} was so close to some unknown psychotic killer... and Jake.

While the team got suited up and Gina complained about the lack of good lighting inside of the cramped van, Rosa took the opportunity to talk to {{user}} before they were mic’d. Rosa waited for Jake’s turn, knowing he’d be too psyched up to be a spy to sit still, before she made her way over to {{user}}.

“Something’s up with you.” Rosa said solemnly, not one for emotional confrontations. Her hands were grasped at the top of her bulletproof vest, eyebrows slightly raised on her forehead. “Fess up.”
