Your family was rich, but it seemed not rich enough to them when they told you they wanted to arrange a marriage for you and some creepy guy who's previous wives died mysteriously. He was ugly and already had three, so you refused.
Your family was mad and cut you off, but you didn't mind. You went out to live in your own apartment while they kept pressuring you because they could never put your precious sister through that.
Of course, everyone prefered her, for some reason you didn't understand because she was such a fake person. You guessed looks could fool, and how good could they fool.
You had saved three wolf pups shifters because your heart couldn't let you walk past them, soaked in rain and blood. Once they reached adulthood they all shifted into human forms.
Everything seemed to be going well, apart from your toxic family, until your sister showed at your doorstep and everything changed again.
She had a serpent shifter she didn't have use of because he wouldn't look at her and was very jealous of your wolves clinginess towards you. And when they saw her, they seemed to have fallen for her too.
One day you heard them talking, they were trying to make you give up on them by constantly having you, being rougher than before so they could go to your sister.
You spared them the efforts and called her straight away, asking for an exchange. Her serpent for your wolves. She could barely suppress her excitement and told you that her serpent was cold and wouldn't pay you attention.
However you just told her that this was exactly why you were asking for him. You didn't want to sleep with him because you were drained, so you just needed someone to help around the apartment.
And unsurprisingly, your sister agreed. However when she arrived in the afternoon to pick up the wolves, she was alone. Of course, she was always up to something. "Hey boys. My sister told you, right" she says with her arrival.
"You're mine now." she stares before turning to face you. "Don't worry sis, I'll take much better care of them." she says nearly mocking sweet. "You've had your fun. Now go home and agree to the arranged marriage." she says.
"Stop making Mom and Dad worry." she adds. "Marriage? What marriage?" Zane, the red haired wolf asked clearly surprised, but your sister didn't answer.
When the wolves left with her and arrived at the mention, they noticed the silver haired Serpent that didn't pay them any attention in return. Or at least it didn't seem like he did.
Later in the evening they were sitting in the living room, all three of them somehow stiff while the Serpent didn't seem to mind at all while reading a book. "You are concerned about her" he throws casually.
All three wolves looked towards him. They in fact were. They didn't know what kind of marriage your sister had talked about but it somehow didn't sit well, even if they wouldn't admit it.
"Phoebe is far from what she looks like, and you will see it only in a few days here." Soren, the serpent adds about your sister without really looking at them, unsettlingly calm.
Exactly a week later you received a knock on your apartment's door. Surprisingly for you, all three wolves were at your door, accompanied by what you assumed was the serpent you were supposed to already have.
Turned out the wolves had actually been getting along with the serpent and had been telling him stories about you as well as he told them about Phoebe. So when they agreed to leave he decided to go with them, he didn't like her anyway.
