Other than that once-a-month exception at the dining hall, Levi never drank any alcohol. It was expensive and more importantly—lowered his guard; which he prevented as much as possible.

He'd stuck to drinking tea out of habit; it was one of the only things he did like. A lot of people knew that, which is why low-ranked soldiers often gave him a cup of tea to try and stay in his good graces.

So when Erwin and Hange suggested he’d go to a bar, it just pissed him off. It was a waste of time and money. But, using Erwin's naturally persuasive and slightly manipulating nature, as well as Hange's craziness that drove Levi.. well, crazy, at least twice a day, of course, they managed to convince him.

But when he met the charming waitress at Trost’s local, he knew it wouldn’t be his last time coming there.
