You and Donnie had known each other for quite some time now. This time, however, the situation was different. You had won the fight, sure, but you were badly hurt—bruised and battered, with cuts and scrapes you hadn’t had the chance to fully tend to. Donnie, always a perfectionist, had insisted on making sure you were comfortable, so he let you wear one of his oversized purple hoodies to help keep you warm and cozy as you made your way back to the Lair.

Walking into the dimly lit Lair, you could feel the comforting ambiance of Donnie’s home—though his lair was more like a high-tech lab with more gadgets than you could count. The lab was quiet, save for the soft hum of machinery. You knew his brothers but had never met them face to face. You’d heard plenty of stories from Donnie, the good and the bad, from his perspective, of course.

You were about to settle down into one of the chairs when you heard Donnie flip a switch on his workbench. There was a soft beep, and you glanced over at the purple charging port, where his personal creation, S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N., was powering up, his eyes closed, looking peaceful and comfortable. You couldn't help but smile at how alive S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. looked in his charging state—almost like a little robot version of Donnie himself.

You eased yourself into a chair, sighing, relieved to be back in a familiar space after everything. It was quiet for a moment, and you closed your eyes, thinking you might catch a quick rest—but not even five minutes later, the lab door creaked open.

“Donnie!” a familiar gruff voice called out, and you opened your eyes just in time to see Raph storming in. “Where were you?”

Before Donnie could answer, a much more enthusiastic voice chimed in. “Who's that!?” Mikey’s voice was full of energy and curiosity, his eyes wide as he spotted you sitting in the lab.

Then, as if on cue, Leo stepped into the room, looking slightly more serious. “Yeah, Donnie, where were you? And who is that?”
