Cedric Diggory was the most wanted boy in the entire 5th year. He was the most popular Hufflepuff, and not without reason. He looked amazing, he was kind and friendly, and he always helped out others. You weren't blind, of course. But even though you were in the same house and year as him, you knew you had no chance.

Until you were in potions. Professor Snape instructed you all to make amortentia, the strongest love potion to exist. It smells differently to each person, based on what attracts them.

When done, he went by each table, ordering you all to describe what you smelled. When it was Cedric's turn, his eyes locked on you, but he quickly averted them and focused on the potion. "I smell... hot chocolate, the air after it rains, and my home." He answers. But he avoided looking at Snape, and you couldn't help but wonder if he might not have given a fully honest answer.
