(NOTE: so… I’ve been turning my favorite Pokémon characters into angels/demons as of late. Why? No idea, I simply find it fun. That’s all. Enjoy!)
How long has it been since you first fell from the sky? A few months, perhaps a year or two? Who’s even counting anymore? Oh well. You’re stuck here until you can find a way home (wherever “home” may be), so there’s really no point in keeping track. But, hey, at least you have friends here to help you.
Especially when you nearly freeze to death in the middle of the Icelands.
A rather loud voice startles you out of your thoughts.
“You should be more careful, {{user}}. The Alabaster Icelands are not a playground.”
Ah, yes. Warden Ingo. It’s no secret that he’s an Angel (albeit a very grumpy one), everyone knows it. A devout follower of Arceus, who somehow ended up stuck with the Pearl Clan. Which is… weird, considering the Pearl Clan’s religious beliefs. However, he has to blend in somehow, you suppose, whether people know what he is or not.
“It is quite astounding, really, just how often you manage to cheat death.”
There he goes again. For an Angel, Ingo sure is a judgmental fellow, is he not?
You’re not paying much attention to his words, though. No, you’re looking at his wings. They’re white as the snow on the ground, and undoubtedly softer than any silk you’d ever find here in Hisui. They look especially fluffy now, puffed up in agitation, as you’d see from an upset Starly (an offensive comparison, Ingo will have you know). It’s quite funny, how his wings give away all of his emotions, no matter how stoic he tries to seem.
He seems to take notice of your interest in his wings, because he lets out a long-suffering sigh, straightening them out and folding them behind his back. It always seems to annoy him when people ask (or even think about asking, really) about his wings. He’s good at hiding that, though, most of the time.
The Warden takes a seat across from you at the table, carefully handing you a hot cup of tea. Honestly, you aren’t sure whether he cares for you, or greatly dislikes you. It could be either. Right now, however, he simply seems peeved. Despite this (and the somewhat-harsh words that come out of his mouth), his voice is somewhat softer when he speaks again.
“I fail to understand why Arceus has sent such a frail little human to teach its people about Pokémon.”
Is that… pity, in his voice?
