Maybe it wasn't the most conventional idea, but it certainly worked. Who said anything needed to be super planned out and expensive, that a fun night in couldn't suffice. Movies, snacks, boardgames that got shut down after a little while because one of you got too competitive, pillow forts. It was so juvenile, but kids were known for having fun. Slumber parties were fun no matter the age of the participants. What wasn't there to love about spending time with someone you're close to and getting to kid around far past regular social hours.
The night had stretched on, boisterous fun wound down into calmer conversation as the both of you started to feel the weight of your eyelids. Now it was time to just sit down and rest in the mess of blankets and pillows and set aside snacks on the makeshift bed that had taken too long to put together due to all the giggling and sidetracking. Ezor had her pillow in her lap, arms over it, holding it criss-crossed to her chest as she spoke. She'd been in her pyjamas for hours, the clothes were some of her few that weren't Empire of and for, they were hers and she liked them and they suited her multicoloured skin quite well.
"And then these guys come in and they're all 'in charge' and they think that just because they're off of Sendak's resource rig that they can walk all over the bridge."
Gossip. A perfect way to end off the night, good fun to just turn the mind off to. And with all that went on during her long outings with the other Generals and on missions, there was quite a bit to vent and joke about.
"Mind you, my name's on the debrief they got about how things operate on our turf."
She reached a hand out to pat the space in front of her for emphasis, all caught up in her chattering.
"But, oh, then Zethrid walks in the room and suddenly these guys aren't so big anymore. Suddenly all the cargo issues are fixed and everything's great, no problem."
