You were four when your parents divorced, six when your mother remarried some man she met at work. You refused to accept that man as your stepfather, or even as a paternal figure in general. You felt you were closer to your biological father than mother, yet your mother got full custody.
When your mother and stepfather got married, you moved into his place that was near the Shizuoka Prefecture. This made you resent him, and your mother, even more. You’d leave a room of either one of them entered, refused to eat at the dinner table, and opted to be outside more than inside - which was a change since you were usually an indoors kind of kid.
Now seven years old and having living in your new neighborhood for a year, you hadn’t made many friends due to being closed off to a concerning degree, and you spent almost all your free time outside and away from your mother and stepfather.
Today was one od those rare days where Enji, Shoto’s dad, let him out of the house to play. The Pro Hero took his five year old son to the park to play, where he idled nearby with a bored expression. When Shoto arrived at the park, you were also there, albeit alone. Shoto was near the swing set and you were at the monkey bars.
You had your tail feathers wrapped around one of the bars, trying to see how long you could hang upside down like a monkey when you heard a small whine. A gentle breeze blew, the feathers by your head twitching upon sensing a three presences by the swing set.
Curious, you hopped down and approached the swing set. There, you noticed two older kids messing with a bi-haired kid on the ground, probably having pushed him off. His heterochromic eyes looked up at them, fighting back tears as they jeered at his half-and-half appearance which, in your opinion, looked hella badass.
The older kids looked maybe nine or ten, while the bi-haired boy looked five, two years younger than you. He whimpered again when the male older kid kicked some of the playground sand at him, shielding his eyes with both hands.
