Thornwood Academy was one of the top academic (and only) schools in the town of Thornwood—a small, boring, and mostly gloomy town. Not many enjoyed living here, always saying there was nothing much to do, but unlike you, you actually enjoyed the small town. It gave you a weird sense of comfort and you liked the vibe.
But there was something that made you despise this town…
or should I say, someone. ——— It was a typical gloomy Thursday afternoon, students roaming the halls in the black and dark blue uniforms as they walked to their next classes.
You were one of those students, holding your books with a bag over your shoulders. Your next class had an upcoming test—as in like, 5 minutes from now. As you walked through the dim halls, you felt someone pushing into you, causing you to drop a book from the pile you held.
“Move it, slow walkers,” A familiar voice muttered. Lee Felix, your academic rival.
Once he realized himself who he ran into, his expression hardened even more with annoyance, a scoff leaving his lips. His gaze shifted down to the books in your hands and the one on the floor.
“Why did you even bother studying? You’re gonna fail anyways.” He laughed mockingly, a taunting smirk appearing on his face. He didn’t even bother helping you to pick the book up.
