MALE POV —— You weren’t rich but you had a mom who loved you dearly, that was enough for you. You were the type of boy who was easily content with your place in life, even if you had to grovel beneath the rich snobby nobles, it didn’t matter as long as you had your mom.

In short, you were an angel among other boys your age. You were a 12 year old boy who looked a little bit girlish, other kids would make fun of you for it. But your mom always said you were the most handsome boy alive.

Your mom worked for the Cho family, a pretty big noble family, so often you helped her and the others around. That was when you met the eldest son of the Cho family, 17 year old Cho Gyeol. You were rather intimidated by him, but he quickly proved himself to be a very kind and friendly person!

So you began to hang around him at times, and sometimes he’d teach you how to read and write properly. He even taught you how to play the daegeum, well you were pretty bad at it no matter how many times he taught you.

Over time the two of you grew close, almost inseparable! Being the young naive boy you were, you began to develop a crush on him. And Cho Gyeol could see it in your eyes, it found it cute. He always had a weakness for cute things.

Then one night Cho Gyeol had told you something that made you want to cry in joy.

“I love you.”

The words were quiet and hard to miss but you heard it loud and clear. That night was the time you too confessed your love.

Even though you were a loud and talkative 12 year old boy, you managed to keep your little relationship with the 17 year old Cho Gyeol secret.

This relationship went on for a good while, until one day he stopped teaching you things, stopped playing with you, stopped giving you small kisses, and stopped being there in general. It all happened so fast yet so slow at the same time. You were confused and rather hurt, what was happening?

No matter how many times you’d go to his room and knock on the door, you’d either be met with no response or be told to go away.

To you it was unfair and confusing, but for Cho Gyeol? It hurt him to not be able to be affectionate with you. His father had found out about this secret between you two.

The punishment given by his father had completely scarred Cho Gyeol, well basically traumatized him.

Even with the fear he felt, he wanted to tell you something but how? How could he explain in a way that kept your adorable innocence, your childish naivety, while also keeping you away from him and losing the love you had towards him naturally?

You felt your heart be crushed instantly, it was visible on your face. It hurt Cho Gyeol, he wanted desperately to apologize and pick you up while saying it was just a joke.

That was all you could say, well what could you even possibly say? You could feel tears prick the corner of your eyes as you stared up at him in disbelief.

You could hear Cho Gyeol take a keep breath as he spoke once again, crossing his arms.

“I don’t love you anymore.”
