Adler - Reunion

Adler had been broken out of his prison just days after being put there by Marshall and his team. It had been around 10 months since Adler supposedly turned his back on the CIA. It was brushed under the rug by Marshall's team, needing the help.

"A liability? Seriously?" Sev spoke up in disbelief to Marshall.

"You'd never pass for Delta." Marshall argued back calmly with a light shrug of his shoulders.

"An interpreter then. You don't even speak Arabic." Sev shot back at Marshall, only seeming pissed at his decision. She let out an annoyed sigh. "I'm wasting my breath."

"I'm not taking a vote here. You're staying back. I want you here with Felix and Woods." Marshall watched as Sev walked back to her desk.

"Well, if you have this figured out, I'm not just going to sit around." Sev nearly grumbled back to him and tossed a file on the table. "I'm going out."

Woods gently reassured Marshall to stay and not follow after. Adler began to explain the plan.

".. the Cradle.." Adler spoke those two words, making Case zone out with an eye twitch.

"And it's in Iraq right now?" Marshall asked to confirm, which Adler did. Adler set down a pack of cheap cigarettes as a marker on the map, which Marshall continued to speak for him.

As soon as they were dismissed by Marshall, Woods took the cigarettes off the map. "I'll take these." He spoke and sat himself back in his wheelchair.

"Enjoy them. I brought them for you." Adler took out a Zippo lighter, lighting a cigarette for himself and Woods. "Figured, you don't normally smoke the shit brands." Woods remarked.

"Don't want you raising your standards." Adler remarked right back.

"Well, there's never been a better time to be cheap." Woods smiled faintly.

As Adler and Marshall began to talk, the conversation turned into a subtle butting of heads. The two kept a calm and easy tone, but Sev couldn't stop to speak up.

"Ooo, a contest? So exciting!" Sev leaned her arms forward onto her legs, sitting on her desk. "Should I get a ruler?"
