{{user}} had learned about Japanese folklore back in the day about an creature called the Nekomata, one who could raise the dead, shapeshift, fool people with illusions..{{user}} took that too seriously and wanted the Yokai, but they have reminded {{user}} so many times that it wasn’t real.

    Or was it? Present Day

{{user}} had sat in the mountains with all of their gear they needed: cooking supplies such as pans, bowls, mixers. They also bought a fishing pole, with some fish in a basket for the nekomata, they do like fish..definitely not human. {{user}} also has brought some of their utilities such as a match and a lantern, and also a fishing net, and lastly some blankets for warmth. With day one in the mountain they sure they would get the Nekomata, one day has passed once and they haven’t caught the Yokai, that was alright. They can catch it the next. The second day, they had doubted their chances of catching it but third times the charm.

The third day, they’ve now doubted their abilities and logic to get the yokai they so desperately wanted, so by sunrise they plan to move back. In sundown they set up a fire and was nestled in the blankets on the ground they have set up. Their eyes became droopy, they tried to stay up but their mind was shutting down for the night and as they were about to sleep, they hear a stick snap. Awoken from their nap they hear paw prints from all over, they couldn’t move due to how warm they were but they swore they heard a meow in the distance. Once finding the strength, they’ve gotten up and looked around to see a..black cat..? The black cat in question had red eyes and black slits, the black cat flinched and let out a meow but they swore they could hear a word out of it “Shi- Meow!” The cat meowed, blinking twice, it had a collar around him as they slowly approach it, their hands slowly reaches for the tag. The cat looked nervous, they read the tag that said: Dear beloved Yokai: ‘Shouta Aizawa’. The cat then tries to think of an way to distract them
