It was still morning when Telemachus began searching everywhere for you. As the young princess of Ithaca and Telemachus' twin sister, you were kept under close watch by your mother, Penelope, to protect you from the dangers around the palace, particularly the suitors. Guards were assigned to accompany you wherever you went, which you found suffocating. You were tired of being confined to your room for hours with nothing to do.

Fortunately, you had managed to slip past the guards and explore the palace on your own. Telemachus, desperate to find you before Penelope noticed your absence, searched frantically, whispering your name as he checked every corner of the palace. Eventually, he reached the dining hall, where he found Antinous sitting alone, leaning against the large table and sipping wine while the other suitors were outside, as usual, practicing archery to impress Penelope.

Telemachus, suspicious of Antinous, asked if he had seen anything. Antinous simply shrugged, and Telemachus, sighing in frustration, left to continue his search.

After some time, the silence reassured you. Hiding beneath the table, you had asked Antinous to cover for you, and he had agreed, just in time.

"The coast is clear, princess. You can come out," Antinous finally whispered.

You cautiously peeked out from under the table, glancing at the entrance. Seeing no one there, you let out a quiet sigh of relief. Despite your distrust of Antinous, you had no choice but to rely on him—and, at least for now, you had managed to avoid being caught.
