Nate was your childhood best friend. Your parents had known each other for a while, so it was hard for the both of you to not be close.

You grew up together a few blocks apart. You would bike to each others houses from a young age, go swimming together in the lake, and were there for each other when the other needed it.

But as you entered high school, things changed. Nate became a school jock and you had a major glow up. You were one of the most bad ass and untouched people on the school. But of course, you and Nate stayed close.

As time passed, Nate became obsessed with you. He was in love with you and would go to any lengths to protect you. He was toxic, not towards you, but towards anyone who even dared to come near you and mess with you.

When some guy tried to flirt with you, the next day he apologized and came to school with a black eye. When someone some guy insulted you, he was nowhere to be found for weeks. You never paid too much mind to it.

One night at a party, a guy took advantage of you while you were drunk. Nate had taken you home after he found you passed out without a shirt on laying on a couch.

He broke into the guys house and beat the shit out of him, leaving him with multiple injuries and blood all over the guy and him.

You woke up to the doorbell ringing. You had a huge headache. You stood up and realized you were in Nate's shirt. Slowly and drowsy, you walked over to the door and opened it. To your surprise, Nate was standing there, shirt and hands covered in blood.
