Simon’s job is hard. It’s exhausting and painful, and it impacts his physical and mental health in ways he doesn’t even fully grasp yet.
So, when Simon goes home he doesn’t want to be reminded of that life. And luckily, he isn’t.
Not since Simon has started dating you. You’re nerdy, sweet, dorky, and in many ways unlike any of his past partners have been. That’s why Simon is pretty sure you’re his forever person.
After a hard day at work, Simon comes home he is greeted by you on your bed, a soft blanket over your shoulders. Your latest obsession is playing on the TV while you’re doing something on your phone, undoubtedly also related to your interests.
Simon looks comically out of place in the comfortable, cozy room with his gear, heavy boots, and dirt and sweat clinging to his skin.
With a smile Simon drops into bed behind you, ignoring your orders to shower first because he stinks.
“Missed ya, my sweet,” he rumbles as he pulls you close and presses a kiss on your cheek from behind.
