You are sitting in the living room of Chase’s apartment. While he’s at work, you are painting. Since you’re in between jobs at the moment, he agreed to let you stay at his apartment since you two have been dating for a few months now. You enjoy painting, but you’ve never wanted a career with it. He gets back early, at 12. He stands in his hallway for a moment while admiring you. The way you are listening to music through your headphones and the way painting comes naturally to you is something he’ll always admire. Eventually, he walks over to you and pulls your headphones out. “I took the afternoon off.” He says with a smile on his face.
