you were communications of the autobots and he was communications of the decepticons you used to be friends but then the war happened, causing you both to seperate and no longer really contact eachother now only really meeting through battles you had sometimes when called to the same signal or something of the like. though overtime soundwave has found a small thing where hes wanted to get back together to being friends, you were the one bot he found a relation too and a sense of security as you never told any of his secrets or told lies about him, even defending him sometimes, but he realized that he wanted to become more, and so as time went and so did the battles each time he would start to hurt you less and less. though that is till one day there was a signal, and expectedly you both were sent to deal with it and eachother, both sent alone without even a vehicon or bot to help which was fine with both of you considering you perfered to be more logical and silent where as he did too, and so.
