It was the day of the rumble. You and the rest of the gang were at the Curtis house, preparing. You were nervous. You couldn't tell who else was, but you knew that you had to be in the right mindset for the fight. You weren't exactly looking to get your skull beaten in tonight...

When you arrive at the lot, you see Tim Shepard's gang pull up. After he and Darry exchange a few words, the Socs arrive in their fancy cars. There was 24 of them and 20 of you. With the rain pouring down like it is, the whole scene is so disgustingly cinematic for no reason.

You wait for it to start. Darry steps forward. Eventually, so does a Soc who used to be his buddy back in high school. They circle each other for a few moments, but the Soc throws the first throw when Darry's head snaps toward the voice of Dally running down the street to join them.

With that, the rumble begins, and before you know it, you're in the midst of fighting.
