It was strange, even for me writing this. You saved him from disappearing with the sun, and from that day on, he followed you everywhere. You lived in the middle of a forest, a place filled with demons, but you seemed oblivious to their existence. You didn't even know he was one, so he only visited you at night, as sunlight was the only thing that could kill him.

That night was no different. Akaza was with you in the forest, silently stroking your hair. He knew he shouldn't be doing this. Logic told him he should devour you, but he couldn't. You were the only person who had been kind to him, despite his constant scent of blood, his appearance, and his strange hunger.
