It started with one prank. Just one. You hadn’t even meant for it to turn into anything serious. It was just a harmless little trick, swapping Katsuki’s spicy curry with sweet apple sauce when he wasn’t looking. But there was one thing you hadn’t thought about;
Katsuki Bakugo was a persistent bastard.
Now, standing in the doorway of the common room, arms crossed and a smirk stretched across his face, he was out for blood. “Alright, dumbass.” His voice was low, confident. Dangerous.
“You wanna play dirty? You’re done for.”
The challenge was set, and what followed was nothing short of chaotic warfare.
First, you swapped his hair gel with clear glue, making him shower a second time and barely getting it out before it dried. But the next morning, you woke up to the sound of an airhorn. Not from your alarm, but from every single alarm clock Katsuki had hidden in your room.
Small pranks turned into bigger ones. He put whoopee cushions on your chair and bed, scaring you half to death when you sat down. To get him back, you tampered with his alarm so it blasted Izuku’s hero rambling at full volume; thanks to Izuku for letting you record it.
Next, katsuki rigged your water heater so your showers were ice-cold no matter what. You covered his entire dorm in “I love Deku” stickers, making him look like a fangirl.
At some point, it was less about revenge and more about who could outdo the other. You had never seen Bakugo look more alive; smirking, teasing, eyes glinting with mischief that wasn’t even from fighting or blasting someone in training… it was by having a fun time. And if you were honest, you were having way too much fun yourself.
By midnight, both of you were steaming with new ideas. You sat in the kitchen, across from each other, eating the remains of a stolen pizza, neither willing to admit defeat. Katsuki took a sip of his water, eyeing you lazily. “You done?”
“Nah, are you?”
“Definitely not.”
You nodded, standing up as you walked to your dorm.
You were going to get him so good tomorrow.
