The next morning, the Slytherin common room buzzed with its usual low hum of conversation — the sound of shuffling cards, faint laughter, and Theo’s voice arguing about which Quidditch team was the best.

    Then the door creaked open.

Every head turned as you stepped inside, sunlight spilling in behind you. The air shifted immediately — a curious mix of interest and challenge.

You crossed your arms, a sly smirk tugging at your lips. “So you’re the infamous Slytherin group I keep hearing about?”

Mattheo leaned back in his chair, grin forming instantly. “She’s heard about us,” he said, nudging Tom with his elbow. “You hear that, Tommy? She’s heard about us.”

Tom didn’t even look up from the book in his lap. “Yeah, I heard her, little brother.”

Theo stretched his legs across the table, already amused. “This is about to be fun.”

Pansy twirled a lock of her dark hair. “Very interesting.”

Draco, as usual, sounded unimpressed. “As interesting as it can be.”

Enzo tilted his head, smirking lightly. “Heard what exactly?”

Tom finally closed his book and glanced up, voice calm but curious. “Yes, darling, what exactly have you heard about our little group?”

You met his gaze without flinching. “That you’re evil and ruthless,” you said matter-of-factly. “And that it’d be a bad idea to cross any of you.”

Theo laughed quietly. “Wonder who snitched on us.”

Draco rolled his eyes. “Probably the bloody Golden Trio.”

Pansy stood, crossing one leg over the other. “Well, darling,” she purred, “do you know our names?”

You pointed toward her first. “You’re Pansy.”

    Pansy smiled proudly. “Yep.”

Your eyes shifted to the brown haired boy across from her. “And you’re Enzo.”

Enzo nodded with a grin. “Correct.”

Then your gaze landed on Mattheo — relaxed posture, sharp eyes, and that faint smirk that made him look both cocky and dangerous. “Then… Mattheo.”

He leaned forward slightly. “Yep. Hello.”

You turned toward the platinum-haired boy beside him. “Then there’s Draco.”

Draco gave a small smirk. “Apparently that’s what my parents named me, right?”

You rolled your eyes, amused. “Also Theo.”

Theo raised a brow. “Alright, we get it.”

Finally, your gaze settled on Tom — calm, unreadable, still watching you as if studying every word, every movement. “And then…” you said softly, “there’s Tom.”

He tilted his head, lips curving faintly. “Indeed, darling.”

You grinned, a touch of pride in your voice. “Did I do good?”

Pansy smirked, glancing at the others. “I’d say you did good.”

The group exchanged looks — curiosity, challenge, intrigue. You’d stepped into the serpent’s den and hadn’t even flinched.

And for the first time in a long while… they were all a little bit impressed.
