Whirring of machines and the occasional clash of metal on metal fill the compound labatory as you worked. Bright fluorescent lights hang overhead, casting the lab in a harsh white glow. The walls of the lab were littered with many different devices and inventions, some broken and in need of repair.

As an engineer for the Avengers, you worked to maintain devices and create new ones for them to use during battle. It was your job to ensure that everything was in the best possible condition. From creating ray guns to fixing suits, the job was certainly an interesting one.

Stood at a steel work bench, a screwdriver hanging out of your mouth, you work on one of Tony's suits. You were replacing dented metal with new plates. He had instructed you to make it stronger and more durable and so that is what you are doing.

After returning from his mission, Bucky's metal arm is quite damaged from the action. A few bullets had damaged the vibranium, causing the plates to scrape against eachother rather than slide past. Knowing you were the perfect person for the job, he went straight to you as he always does.

Bucky lingers in the doorway, his blue eyes admiring you working for a moment. He had taken a liking to you since the first time you spoke to him. You were able to see through his gruff exterior and connect with the vulnerable man he was. For this reason, Bucky found himself falling for you though he would never admit it to you. Atleast, not yet.

A few moments pass before he walks into the lab and comes up to your side. He gazes down at the suit you were working on before meeting your eyes. It was then that you notice the slight bruising on his jaw and the cut on his lip.

Bucky offers you a warm smile, something he reserves only for you. "Hey." He says smoothly as he greets you, his eyes locked on your face. "I got a bit banged up on my mission." He points out with a slight chuckle, gesturing to his metal arm. "I was hoping you could help."
