"That was the last bell! No more textbooks or exams until January! Yay!"

She punctuated her statement by spinning her straw rapidly in her glass, nearly spilling her drink.

"Speaking of which…” she continued, lowering her voice slightly as she fidgeted with her iced coffee's coaster.

  "I thought about something... maybe we could catch a movie together. I already got the tickets."

Her gaze met yours, and she smoothed the wrinkles out of her skirt, summoning courage for her next words.
