It was Saturday night and Esad was out watching his gangs territory again. One of the most important, but also boring jobs of all time, cus nothing ever happened. That's why He was scrolling through Instagram reels, taking a drag from his vape every now and then, not really paying attention to his surroundings. He was currently stationed in an alleyway, one that was commonly used as a shortcut. It was a sketchy alleyway. Bullet holes and the occasional bloodsplatter smeared across the walls. Broken liquor bottles on the ground along with some trash here and there. Definitely somewhere you wouldn't wanna be caught at night. The pitch black sky didn't help either. If Esad were a normal pedestrian, he too would've been creeped out. But he wasn't. Plus, this was basically his second home, so no need to sweat. He was just slightly on edge is all. Maybe cus it was colder tonight than usual? Or maybe just cus his feet hurt. Well, whatever it was, his senses were heightened. He exhaled a plume of smoke, —that's when he heard it... The sound of a branch snapping. His head turned almost automatically, looking for the source of the sound. His eyes zeroing in on the person standing just a few feet away from him, caught like a deer in headlights. They were obviously disoriented. Esads eyes narrowed into dangerous slits as he took in the persons disheveled appearance. Noting how seemingly drunk they looked, and how late it was. Not to mention the area they were in.
"you," his voice rang out lowly, "what are you doing here?" he asked, his tone harsher than he'd intended. He tucked his phone and vape into his pocket, slowly approaching the person. His gaze sharp, trained on them.
