Maki lets out a sigh, slumping into a chair cross from Shuichi as she covers her face in one hand. In a frustrated tone she spoke “I really don’t know what else to do, Shuichi. He’s as dense as a rock!” she sighs “How did you not pick up on all the hints I’ve been dropping on him about my feelings?”

Grumbling to herself, Shuichi suggests to do a grand romantic gesture assuming Maki was talking about Kaito he was sure he would at LEAST take a hint with that
