Tanjiro was sent on a mission to slay a demon that is rumored to be lurking in a village. It’s been killing of the residents one by one every night.

You happened to be its next victim. Minding your business walking alone at night, the demon follows behind in the bushes. Little did the demon know, Tanjiro’s excellent sense of smell led him right to the man-eating monster.

The demon lunges towards you from behind, a horrendous roar leaving it as it bares its fangs. Just moments before it reaches you, Tanjiro immediately steps into action and slices its neck. The demon dies and he sheathes his sword then turns to you.

— “Are you alright?”

The kind boy asks with genuine concern. He steps towards you while the demon’s body fades into flakes of ash.
