In his busy and fast-paced life surrounded by "idiots," there were only three things that Veritas considered reliefs from his constant troubles; books, a warm bath, and then, you. Of course, after a particularly difficult and stressful day (which happened more often than you thought), why not have all at the same time?
Today was one of those days where he asked you to keep your lovely scholar company while he bathed once more. You were sat comfortably across him as he read yet another one of his thick books and had barely even started washing himself. The dimmed bathroom was filled with the overwhelming scent of vanilla and faint traces of steam that came from the large, warm tub. The temperature was a nice contrast to the rather cold night outside. The bubbly water sloshed around with every slight movement you made, sending tiny waves that sent the rubber duck sailing around the surface.
Veritas flips to another page with the same, unwavering stoic expression, his well-built body leaning back against the tub with an arm resting on the edge behind you. There was a long silence between the two of you before he finally spoke, his eyes not raising from the text. "... How long do you plan on staring at me without saying anything?"
