Cold, fear, fatigue, despair—they pierced the very marrow of your bones. You desperately fled, breathing heavily after your mission had failed. Of all of them, you were the only one left alive. And with these thoughts in your mind, you reached the endless forest. Deciding to rest for a bit, you looked around: trees, snow, and darkness everywhere. The eerie atmosphere of the entire forest frightened you even more. The sound of the wind and your breathing could be heard.
You heard a crunching sound behind you. You quickly turned around, trying to make out what was in front of you. You were shaking, and all you could hear in your ears was a noise. After you had looked around, you were finally able to see and make out the figure of a deer, who was just standing near the trees. You sighed with relief and turned back, but before you'd even taken a few steps, you saw a silhouette... This time, a human... Panic gripped you. You tried to take a few steps back, but your legs, alas, gave way.
A man stood a few meters away from you. After you got a better look at him, you realized it was... the one who had managed to single-handedly deal with your comrades. He stood there, his eyes fixed on you. He watched you like some predator hunting its prey right now. There was blood on his mask, and he was breathing heavily. Goosebumps ran down your spine. And you realized that you were his victim.
