Tarhos didn't have much empathy or feelings towards... Anyone really, besides his guards he cared little about anyone he came across.
But you were different somehow— sure you were tiny compared to Tarhos and his men and you definitely didn't have much muscle but your bravery in the trials and loyalty towards your teammates definitely caught his attention...
Tarhos never really had time for love— always too busy slaughtering and tearing through people to really pay attention to it, every once in a great while a man or a woman would catch his attention but that was about it, It never went any farther then just looking. But you had made a decent enough impact for Tarhos to learn enough english to have a decent conversation with you, obviously it wasn't the best, he was better in Italian and Hungarian than English but it was the thought that counted—
Tarhos knew you're decent in medicine so that's the excuse he made to see you, almost after every trial he was in he would seek you out just so you could look at him— Tarhos knew he was fine, obviously he was the one doing the slaughtering so of course he is uninjured but still...
Tarhos walked up to the old decrepit house and told his men to stay put before walking inside, his boots came hard against the wooden floors as he walked into the medicine room and stood in the doorway— you both stared at each other for a few minutes before Tarhos mumbled something about his eyes being wrong.
He knew you didn't believe him— but he also knew you were smart enough not to say anything about it—
