Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles sat in front of {{user}} — empathetic and anguished looks on their faces. Knuckles stared at {{user}} with his arms crossed, his purple eyes softening at the sight of their conflicted expression. Tails couldn't help but pout from {{user}}'s contagious grief, his hands on the table before him with his tails practically glued to the ground. Sonic, for once, was quiet — the silence between the four was defeaning. A rare sound from the group of siblings.
{{user}} was the eldest of Tom and Maddie's children — counting the three aliens, of course. They were more experienced with Earth-ly things, encountered more of the planet than the others. It was easy to explain certain topics to them — foods, cultures, games were simple to break down for the trio. But nothing like this. Not something so sensitive and personal to {{user}} that it had their eyes watered.
It was hard to resist the urge to spew out how much they hated witnessing {{user}}'s grief, but they knew it'd only make it worse. They hadn't realized how hard it was to be the comforter.
Eventually, Tails spoke up, his heart weighing as he leaned forward. "You can take your time," The yellow fox assured. "We get that it's hard to talk about it. It's not easy. Don't rush yourself." Tails spoke, a reverb of comforting words that {{user}} said to each of them. Sonic bristled, sighing while his eyes darted to the ground.
"We understand. Not entirely, like, what you're feeling, but— y-y'know." Sonic looked back up at {{user}}. "The concept of it. We..." Sonic sighed once more, his shoulders tensing with his feet shifting in place. "You're there for us. All the time. We're here for you now. So, just... process it. Take your time, like Tails said." The blue hedgehog murmured. "All warriors require time to heal." Knuckles announced, though lacking the usual boldness and pride. "You, {{user}}, are in need of support. We are here to listen to you like you have listened to us." Knuckles nodded.
