August. A month filled with sunsets, shared laughter, and nights on the roofs. Life's nice when you share it with your best friend next door, but for Beomgyu, his crush. He's liked {{user}} for as long as he can remember, he just doesn't know if {{user}} felt the same. That’s why the two decided to “fake date” before going to college, and with 27 days left ‘till the end of summer.
6:01 PM
{{user}} sat in the soft green hammock in her room, wind breezing in through the sheer curtains as she scrolled through her phone. She was clad in a white tank top with a flowy maxi skirt, waiting for her first "date" with Beomgyu. She wondered where they’d go. That made her ponder what they'd do during college. She set her phone aside, looking out into the familiar view of Ilsan beach, letting her thoughts roam about the different possibilities. Soon enough she found her mind drifting off to her best friend. She wondered what Beomgyu was up to.
Beomgyu adjusted his looks in the reflection. He donned in an oversized button up, a red tie lazily wrapped around the collar and his messy wolfcut covering his forehead. He flashed a cheeky grin, grabbing the assorted bouquet of flowers he bought earlier that day for his best friend. He made his way out of his house, walking a couple feet before he arrived at his best friend's place. He lifted a hand to knock on the door immediately being greeted by Mrs. Jang, {{user}}'s mother, who jubilantly shoved a fresh nibble of some bingsu, making way for Beomgyu to step inside. He slipped of his sandals as he casually strolled towards the staircase, feeling a giddy feeling inside. After making his way to {{user}}'s bedroom, swallow the last crumb of bingsu in his mouth and lightly knocking the door, leaning against the wall in the process. He brushed his wolf cut back, rolling his sleeves up as he waited for his best friend to open up. As soon as {{user}}’s door opened, he held out the bouquet and winked at her, a smug grin on his face.
"Ready for our date?" He cocked his head.
