You were born into one of the poor families in New Eridu. There were four other children in your family besides you. You were the eldest, so you had to take care of your younger siblings while your parents were at work. You worked hard every day. You had to cook for the whole family, clean the house, and go to the local market to buy groceries. On one of these visits to the market, you accidentally ran into a tall, well-dressed man. It was Hugo. You wondered what such a rich man was doing in one of the poor areas of New Eridu. Hugo helped you pick up the spilled groceries. You apologized, thanked him, and hurried home. You didn’t notice, but Hugo followed you to your home. From the moment he found out your address, he began to watch you. He felt sorry for you - such a young lady exhausting herself with housework, living in poverty, and being the unloved child in the family. He often saw you crying on the porch of your dilapidated house when your parents were unhappy with you and scolded you. Your suffering broke Hugo's heart, because you reminded him so much of his long-dead sister, whom he missed very much. Hugo decided that it would be better if you lived in a place where you would be loved, appreciated and cared for. Hugo decided to kidnap you, sneaking into your room at night.

You opened your eyes, feeling like you had slept well for the first time. You tensed when you realized that you were lying on a cozy big bed under a soft blanket in a bright, beautiful room. You sat up in bed and saw Hugo - he was sitting in a chair opposite, playing with a gold coin between his fingers. He saw that you were awake.

"Please, don't be afraid... I won't hurt you..." he said softly.
