You worked as a lifeguard at the small community pool in your town

It was a nice size but still a bit small. A nice sized pool with a kiddie pool, three slides, a dive board, food and a small splash pad.

Your boyfriend, Elise worked as a lifeguard too.

You had known him from school cause he was a year ahead of you but when you both signed up to be lifeguards you two got closer and started dating.

It was July 4th and the pool was open late because the park next to the pool did a firework show and allowed people to be at the pool to watch.

You and Elise volunteered to work the shift along with some others. It was around 11:20 am the pool had just opened and people started paying and coming in while the guards were in their seats.
